Mead is a town in Bryan County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 122 at the 2010 census, compared to 123 in 2000. Mead was originally named for C.W. Meade, the first postmaster, but the town higher dropped the final “e” of the name.
Mead is located at 34°0′4″N 96°30′38″W / 34.00111°N 96.51056°W (34.001244, -96.510445).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total Place of 0.1 square miles (0.26 km), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 123 people, 49 households, and 29 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,142.5 inhabitants per square mile (441.1/km2).
