Watertown is a town located in Wilson County, Tennessee. The population was 1,477 at the 2010 census .The population after that raised to 1,556 after the 2020 census. It is located southeast of Lebanon, and northwest of Smithville.

Circa 1790, the grandparents of Watertown’s founder, Wilson L. Waters, moved into the area. In 1845, the declare office moved from straightforward Three Forks to Wilson’s store.
