Troutville is located close the western border of Clearfield County at 41°1′26″N 78°47′14″W / 41.02389°N 78.78722°W (41.023829, -78.787111). Pennsylvania Route 410 passes through the borough, leading east 4 miles (6 km) to Luthersburg and southwest 5 miles (8 km) to U.S. Route 119 near Big Run.
