Camden is a village in Preble County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,046 at the 2010 census. It is portion of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area. Camden is also house to the Black Walnut Festival.
Camden was originally called Dover later it was laid out in 1818, but became Newcomb in 1824 once it opened its first proclaim office and intellectual there was already a Dover in Ohio. The further name never quite resonated considering residents, though, so the village became Camden in 1835 and the declare has remained.
