Chain of Rocks is a village in Lincoln County, Missouri, United States. The population was 93 at the 2010 census.
Chain of Rocks was platted in the 1830s, and named for a rock formation close the native town site. A declare office called Chain of Rocks was received in 1869, and remained in operation until 1907.
Chain of Rocks is located at 38°54′53″N 90°48′8″W / 38.91472°N 90.80222°W (38.914718, -90.802133). It is named after an ventilation of bedrock in the Cuivre River north of St. Louis that forms a remarkable “chain of rocks” across its width. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total Place of 0.17 square miles (0.44 km2), all land.
