Breckenridge is a village in Gratiot County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,328 at the 2010 census. The village is located in Wheeler Township.
Breckenridge was founded in 1872 like the Pere Marquette Railroad came through the area. It was incorporated as a village in 1908.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total Place of 1.07 square miles (2.77 km), all land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 1,328 people, 535 households, and 349 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,241.1 inhabitants per square mile (479.2/km2). There were 595 housing units at an average density of 556.1 per square mile (214.7/km). The racial makeup of the village was 96.8% White, 0.5% African American, 0.8% Native American, 0.8% from supplementary races, and 1.2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.4% of the population.
