Glen Carbon is a village in Madison County, Illinois, United States, 14 miles (23 km) northeast of St. Louis. The population was 13,842 at the 2020 census.
In 1801, Colonel Samuel Judy customary a military attain for 100 acres (0.40 km) of land close the base of the bluffs, just north of Judy Creek, and became one of the first surviving settlers of Madison County.
