Red Butte is a census-designated place (CDP) in Natrona County, Wyoming, United States. It is portion of the Casper, Wyoming Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,430 at the 2020 census.
Red Butte is located at 42°48′23″N 106°25′58″W / 42.80639°N 106.43278°W (42.806414, -106.432671).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.5 square mile (1.2 km), of which 0.43 square mile (1.1 km2) is home and 0.03 square mile (0.1 km) (7.06%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 439 people, 160 households, and 134 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 941.0 people per square mile (360.6/km2).
