Dunbar is a town in Marinette County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,303 at the 2000 census. The census-designated place of Dunbar is located in the town.
The town was founded in 1888 during a era of well-to-do logging industry in the Wisconsin northern woods. At that get older the railroad was the main means of transporting logs from Dunbar to the southern allocation of the give access and Illinois.
