Dorchester is a village in Clark and Marathon counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin, along the 45th parallel. It is part of the Wausau, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 876 at the 2010 census. Of this, 871 were in Clark County, and abandoned 5 were in Marathon County.
Dorchester is located at 45°0′8″N 90°19′55″W / 45.00222°N 90.33194°W (45.002233, -90.331995).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.42 square miles (3.68 km), of which, 1.39 square miles (3.60 km2) of it is home and 0.03 square miles (0.08 km) is water. Most of the village lies in Clark County, with unaided a little portion in Marathon County.
As of the census of 2010, there were 876 people, 355 households, and 228 families bustling in the village. The population density was 630.2 inhabitants per square mile (243.3/km2). There were 383 housing units at an average density of 275.5 per square mile (106.4/km). The racial makeup of the village was 90.3% White, 0.6% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.1% Asian, 8.3% from supplementary races, and 0.5% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 12.8% of the population.
