Tehuacana (, Spanish pronunciation: [tewaˈkana]) is a town close the Tehuacana Hills in Limestone County, Texas, United States. The population was 283 at the 2010 census. From 1869 until 1902, the town was home to Trinity University.

A say office called “Tewockony Springs” was usual in what is now known as Tehuacana in 1847. It was named for the Tawakoni Indians, who lived in the Place until the late 1840s. In 1850, the town came in second in an election held to declare the new Texas welcome capitol, which Austin ultimately won. When Tehuacana Academy opened in 1852, the community was known as Tehuacana Hills, though the state office continued to be called after the springs. The state office was discontinued during the Civil War, but help resumed in 1869, at which become old the pronounce of the office was tainted to Tehuacana.

Tehuacana is located at 31°44′32″N 96°32′44″W / 31.74222°N 96.54556°W / 31.74222; -96.54556 (31.742338, –96.545560).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.6 square miles (4.1 km), all of it land.
