Oak Point is a city in Denton County, Texas, United States. Ranked in the Top 20 of 62 suburbs in the Dallas area by D Magazine, Oak Point had a population of 2,786 at the 2010 census.

Oak Point is located in east central Denton County in north-central Texas just south of U.S. Highway 380, equidistant amongst Denton and Frisco and nearly 40 miles (64 km) north of Dallas. While Oak Point, positioned upon a scenic Lewisville Lake peninsula, provides a tranquil feel away from the pressures of a more urban environment, Oak Point is located just 10 miles (16 km) from the Dallas North Tollway, 7 miles (11 km) from Interstate 35E, and 25 miles (40 km) from the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

Oak Point is located at 33°10′56″N 96°59′43″W / 33.18222°N 96.99528°W / 33.18222; -96.99528 (33.182353, –96.995192). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total Place of 5.9 square miles (15 km²), of which 5.7 square miles (15 km) is home and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km²), or 4.04%, is water.

According to the U.S. Census’ Quick Facts, the population in the 2010 Census was 2,786; in the 2020 Census was 4,357; and the July 2021 estimate was 5,557. The age distribution of the 2020 population included 26.9% of the population below the age 18, and 14.8% with an age of 65 or over. The racial distribution of the 2020 population: 81.0% was White alone, 16.1% was Hispanic or Latino, 5.1% was Black or African American, and 2.6% was Asian alone. In 2020, there were approximately 300 veterans in the City.
