Bear Creek is a village in Hays County, Texas, United States. The population was 382 at the 2010 census.
The village was expected in November 1997.
Bear Creek is located in northern Hays County at 30°10′55″N 97°55′58″W / 30.18194°N 97.93278°W (30.182024, –97.932738). It is bordered to the north and east by the city of Austin and is 16 miles (26 km) by road southwest of downtown. The northern link up of Bear Creek is the Travis County line, and the eastern be next to follows Farm Road 1826.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.0 km), all of it recorded as land. Bear Creek, the village’s namesake, passes 0.3 miles (0.48 km) south of the village limits and is allowance of the Onion Creek watershed, flowing to the Colorado River.
