Dyersburg is a city and the county chair of Dyer County, Tennessee, United States. It is located in northwest Tennessee, 79 miles (127 km) northeast of Memphis upon the Forked Deer River. The population was 16,164 at the 2020 census, down 5.72% from the 2010 census.

The first European settlers began to reach in the area around 1819. In 1823, the Tennessee General Assembly passed an skirmish to insist two new counties hastily west of the Tennessee River, Dyer County monster one of them. John McIver and Joel H.
