Monroe is a city in Benton County, Oregon, United States. The population was 651 at the 2018 census. It is portion of the Corvallis, Oregon Metropolitan Statistical Area. Monroe is located midway with Eugene and Corvallis along Highway 99W and the city experiences a strong friendly rivalry amid fans of the Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.51 square miles (1.32 km), all of it land.
The city formed a propos a little sawmill established by Joseph White in 1852. By 1853, there was a little settlement known as White’s Mill.
