Putnam is a town in Dewey County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 29 at the 2010 census, down from 46 in 2000. The community lies along U.S. Route 183.
Putnam is located in southern Dewey County at 35°51′23″N 98°58′7″W / 35.85639°N 98.96861°W (35.856334, -98.968550). Via US 183 it is 13 miles (21 km) north to Taloga, the county seat, and 22 miles (35 km) to Seiling. To the south upon 183, it is 23 miles (37 km) to Clinton.
