Bolivar (, rhymes bearing in mind Oliver) is a village in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 994 at the 2010 census. Bolivar is also house to Fort Laurens, the by yourself American Revolutionary War-era fort in what is now Ohio.
Shingas, a Delaware Indian leader, established a village known as Shingas Town in the general vicinity of gift Bolivar in 1752. In 1778, Fort Laurens was built in this same area.
