Bonnetsville is located at 34°59′28″N 78°24′8″W / 34.99111°N 78.40222°W (34.991201, -78.402274).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.3 square miles (8.5 km), of which 3.3 square miles (8.5 km2) is home and 0.31% is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 390 people, 148 households, and 108 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 119.4 people per square mile (46.0/km2).
