Wadsworth is a census-designated place (CDP) in Washoe County, Nevada. The population was 834 at the times of the 2010 census. It is allowance of the Reno–Sparks Metropolitan Statistical Area and located enormously within the Pyramid Lake Indian Reservation. The town was named for General James S. Wadsworth, a Civil War general killed during the Battle of the Wilderness in 1864. It was unmovable this read out by Leland Stanford of the Central Pacific Railroad as a favor to General Irvin McDowell, whom Wadsworth had served below during the Civil War.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.7 square miles (9.6 km), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 881 people, 328 households, and 225 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 237.7 people per square mile (91.7/km2). There were 360 housing units at an average density of 97.1 per square mile (37.5/km). The racial makeup of the CDP was 28.94% White, 0.11% African American, 64.81% Native American, 0.23% Asian, 3.75% from other races, and 2.16% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 12.03% of the population.
