Tarnov is a village in Platte County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 46 at the 2010 census.

Tarnov was laid out in 1889. A large portion of the yet to be settlers physical natives of Tarnów, Poland, caused the make known to be selected.

A make known office was received at Tarnov in 1891, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1969.

On August 19, 1943, the U.S. Army dropped seven practice bombs upon Tarnov, mistaking it for either the Stanton Bombing Range, which was located 25 miles to the northeast, or a bombing range to the southwest, near Silver Creek. The B-17s, from the Sioux City, Iowa, Army Air Field, did little damage and no one was upset or killed.
