Callaway is a village in Custer County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 539 at the 2010 census.
Callaway was platted in 1885. It was named for S. R. Callaway, general officer of the Union Pacific Railroad.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total Place of 0.70 square miles (1.81 km), all land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 539 people, 247 households, and 153 families energetic in the village. The population density was 770.0 inhabitants per square mile (297.3/km2). There were 295 housing units at an average density of 421.4 per square mile (162.7/km). The racial makeup of the village was 98.3% White, 0.2% Native American, 0.4% Asian, and 1.1% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.5% of the population.
