Albion is a city in and the county chair of Boone County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 1,650 at the 2010 census.

Albion is located at 41°41′22″N 98°0′11″W / 41.68944°N 98.00306°W / 41.68944; -98.00306 (41.689342, -98.003128).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.99 square miles (2.56 km), all land.

After several weeks of discussion, the name “Albion” was selected in a game of euchre. Two men played for the name “Albion” and two played for the name “Manchester.” The town was platted as “Albion” in 1872 by Loran Clark. The read out is a transfer from Albion, Michigan. It was designated county chair in 1873.
