Trimble is a city in southwestern Clinton County, Missouri and is part of the Kansas City metropolitan Place within the United States. The population was 646 at the 2010 census.
Trimble was named after J. M. Trimble, a railroad official. The city was originally called Carpenter’s Store; the town site was platted and gift name adopted behind the railroad was extended to that point. A state office called Carpenters Store was acknowledged in 1858, and the herald was changed to Trimble in 1899.
Trimble is located In the southwest corner of the county. It lies upon Missouri Route F and U.S. Route 169. Smithville Lake upon the Little Platte River lies one mile to the east.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.50 square miles (1.29 km), all land.
