Lewiston is a city in Winona County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,620 at the 2010 census.

A say office called Lewiston has been in operation previously 1872. The city was named for Jonathan Smith Lewis, a buccaneer settler. Lewiston was incorporated in 1873. Lewiston – the first End on the Winona-Rochester stagecoach line – was an important source of withhold for those travelers.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.15 square miles (2.98 km), all land.

As of the census of 2010, there were 1,622 people, 600 households, and 428 families vibrant in the city. The population density was 1,408.7 inhabitants per square mile (543.9/km2). There were 634 housing units at an average density of 551.3 per square mile (212.9/km). The racial makeup of the city was 97.0% White, 1.2% African American, 0.1% Native American, 0.7% Asian, 0.4% from further races, and 0.6% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.3% of the population.
