Hanover is a village in Jackson County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 441 at the 2010 census. The village is located within Hanover Township.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total Place of 0.44 square miles (1.14 km), of which 0.42 square miles (1.09 km2) is house and 0.02 square miles (0.05 km) (4.55%) is water.
As of the census of 2010, there were 441 people, 164 households, and 117 families booming in the village. The population density was 1,050.0 inhabitants per square mile (405.4/km2). There were 186 housing units at an average density of 442.9 per square mile (171.0/km). The racial makeup of the village was 95.7% White, 0.9% African American, 0.5% Native American, 0.7% from supplementary races, and 2.3% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.3% of the population.
There were 164 households, of which 41.5% had children under the age of 18 living like them, 48.2% were married couples full of beans together, 17.7% had a female householder with no husband present, 5.5% had a male householder bearing in mind no wife present, and 28.7% were non-families. 25.0% of all households were made taking place of individuals, and 10.4% had someone thriving alone who was 65 years of age or older.
