Cutlerville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Kent County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 17,849 as of the 2020 census. The community is located mostly within Byron Township to the west with a smaller allocation within Gaines Township to the east.
The community is part of the Grand Rapids metropolitan Place and is virtually 3.0 miles (4.8 km) south of the city of Grand Rapids.
John Cutler, who came here from New York give access with his wife and ten children, bought 312 acres (1.26 km) in 1853 and built a log cabin. In 1891, his son John I. Cutler built the Cutler mansion, which in 1910 became the nucleus of the Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services.
