Boxholm is a city in Grant Township, Boone County, Iowa, United States. The population was 181 at the 2020 census. It is share of the Boone, Iowa Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is a part of the larger Ames-Boone, Iowa Combined Statistical Area.
Boxholm was platted in 1900. The town takes its herald from Boxholm, in Sweden, the native house of its first postmaster, John B. Anderson. Boxholm originally was built happening chiefly by Swedes. The first town council was elected in August 1913, and the town was incorporated one month later. In 1963, the town celebrated its Golden Anniversary and the sum attendance was estimated at beyond 1,200 people.
