Gateway is a census-designated place (CDP) in Lee County, Florida, United States. The population was 8,401 at the 2010 United States Census. It is portion of the Cape Coral-Fort Myers, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community is located north of Southwest Florida International Airport.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total Place of 6.14 square miles (15.9 km), of which 5.65 square miles (14.6 km2) is house and 0.49 square miles (1.3 km) is water.
As of the 2010 United States Census, there were 8,401 people full of beans in the CDP. The population density was 1,486.9 inhabitants per square mile (574.1/km).
