Cypress Gardens is a census-designated place (CDP) in Polk County, Florida, United States. The population was 10,169 at the 2020 census. It is portion of the Lakeland–Winter Haven Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Cypress Gardens is located at 28°0′12″N 81°41′26″W / 28.00333°N 81.69056°W (28.003443, -81.690492).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total Place of 4.3 square miles (11 km), of which 3.8 square miles (9.8 km2) is land and 0.5 square miles (1.3 km) (11.42%) is water.
At the 2000 census there were 8,844 people, 3,584 households, and 2,630 families in the CDP. The population density was 2,328.6 inhabitants per square mile (899.1/km). There were 3,942 housing units at an average density of 1,037.9 per square mile (400.7/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 94.09% White, 1.92% African American, 0.28% Native American, 1.68% Asian, 0.86% from new races, and 1.16% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.10%.
