Saratoga is a city in Santa Clara County, California. Located in Silicon Valley, in the southern Bay Area, its population was 31,051 at the 2020 census. Saratoga is an wealthy residential community, known for its wineries, restaurants, and attractions as soon as Villa Montalvo, Mountain Winery, and Hakone Gardens.
The Place comprising Saratoga was earlier inhabited by the Ohlone Native Americans. In 1847, European settlers created a agreement at what is now Saratoga when William Campbell (father of Benjamin Campbell, the founder of user-friendly Campbell, California), constructed a sawmill about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) southeast of the gift downtown area.
