Mesa (Spanish for “Table”) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Inyo County, California, United States. The population was 251 at the 2010 census, up from 214 at the 2000 census.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.7 square miles (9.6 km), of which, 3.5 square miles (9.1 km2) of it is house and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km) of it (4.17%) is water.
The 2010 United States Census reported that Mesa had a population of 251. The population density was 68.7 inhabitants per square mile (26.5/km2). The racial makeup of Mesa was 220 (87.6%) White, 0 (0.0%) African American, 10 (4.0%) Native American, 3 (1.2%) Asian, 0 (0.0%) Pacific Islander, 14 (5.6%) from new races, and 4 (1.6%) from two or more races.
