Moorefield is a town in Independence County, Arkansas, United States. It was named after Jesse A. Moore who owned most of the land in the area of the town at that time. The population was 137 at the 2010 census.
Moorefield is located nearly 4 miles (6 km) east of Batesville at the intersection of Arkansas highways 233 and 69. Sulphur Rock is just about four miles to the east along Route 69. Moorefield Creek flows with the north side of the town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.1 square miles (2.9 km), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 160 people, 64 households, and 48 families residing in the town. The population density was 51.1/km2 (132.7/mi). There were 68 housing units at an average density of 21.7/km2 (56.4/mi). The racial makeup of the town was 96.88% White, 0.62% Native American, and 2.50% from two or more races.
