Onycha is a town in Covington County, Alabama, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 167.
Onycha is located in eastern Covington County at(31.221515, -86.277694). According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.81 square miles (2.1 km2), of which 0.008 square miles (0.02 km), or 1.18%, is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 208 people, 96 households, and 64 families residing in the town. The population density was 249.1 inhabitants per square mile (96.2/km2). There were 113 housing units at an average density of 135.3 per square mile (52.2/km). The racial makeup of the town was 99.04% White and 0.96% Native American. 0.48% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 96 households, out of which 19.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.3% were married couples living together, 7.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.3% were non-families. 32.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
