Barview is a census-designated place (CDP) in Coos County, Oregon, United States. The population was 1,844 at the 2010 census.
Barview is located along the southern Oregon Coast opposite the approach to Coos Bay. It is 7 miles (11 km) west of the city of Coos Bay via the Cape Arago Highway.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the Barview CDP has a total area of 1.8 square miles (4.6 km), of which 1.4 square miles (3.6 km2) is house and 0.39 square miles (1.0 km), or 22.89%, is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,872 people, 760 households, and 525 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,345.8 people per square mile (520.0/km2). There were 842 housing units at an average density of 605.3 per square mile (233.9/km). The racial makeup of the CDP was 91.83% White, 0.21% African American, 3.26% Native American, 1.44% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.59% from additional races, and 2.62% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.99% of the population. There were 760 households, out of which 24.3% had children under the age of 18 living once them, 53.8% were married couples buzzing together, 9.3% had a female householder like no husband present, and 30.8% were non-families. 23.4% of everything households were made stirring of individuals, and 10.4% had someone bustling alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.45 and the average relatives size was 2.82.
