Hawthorne is a borough in Passaic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough’s population was 19,637, an addition of 846 (+4.5%) from the 2010 census total of 18,791, which in position reflected an lump of 573 (+3.1%) from the 18,218 counted in the 2000 census.
