Brownville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Old Bridge Township, in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP’s population was 2,383.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP had a total Place of 1.003 square miles (2.598 km), including 1.002 square miles (2.594 km2) of land and 0.001 square miles (0.004 km) of water (0.15%).
The 2010 United States census counted 2,383 people, 1,000 households, and 659 families in the CDP. The population density was 2,379.4 per square mile (918.7/km). There were 1,028 housing units at an average density of 1,026.4 per square mile (396.3/km2). The racial makeup was 80.19% (1,911) White, 5.04% (120) Black or African American, 0.04% (1) Native American, 10.07% (240) Asian, 0.08% (2) Pacific Islander, 1.97% (47) from supplementary races, and 2.60% (62) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 11.20% (267) of the population.
