Allenhurst is a borough in Monmouth County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, named for resident Abner Allen and incorporated as a borough by an court case of the New Jersey Legislature upon April 26, 1897, from portions of Ocean Township. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough’s population was 496, reflecting a fade away of 222 (−30.9%) from the 718 counted in the 2000 census, which had in approach declined by 41 (−5.4%) from the 759 counted in the 1990 census.

Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Deal Lake to the west, it is in close proximity to New York City and is a End on the NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line. On April 26, 1897, Allenhurst was incorporated as a borough by an accomplishment of the New Jersey Legislature from portions of Ocean Township. The borough is situated in the middle of a string of wealthy communities with Long Branch and Asbury Park. The borough was named for resident Abner Allen.
