Morrice is a village located in Shiawassee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 927 at the 2010 census. The village is located within Perry Township. The middle of population of Michigan is located close Morrice.
The village was named for William Morrice, a buccaneer settler from Aberdeenshire, Scotland, who moved in 1837 to the Place that would become the village.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total Place of 1.38 square miles (3.57 km), of which 1.30 square miles (3.37 km2) is house and 0.08 square miles (0.21 km) (5.80%) is water.
As of the census of 2010, there were 927 people, 367 households, and 239 families blooming in the village. The population density was 713.1 inhabitants per square mile (275.3/km2). There were 404 housing units at an average density of 310.8 per square mile (120.0/km). The racial makeup of the village was 97.0% White, 0.1% African American, 0.6% Native American, 0.1% Asian, 0.3% from extra races, and 1.8% from two or more races.
