Williston Highlands is located at 29°19′49″N 82°32′0″W / 29.33028°N 82.53333°W (29.330407, -82.533343).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 11.3 square miles (29.3 km), all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,386 people, 600 households, and 414 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 123.3 inhabitants per square mile (47.6/km2). There were 691 housing units at an average density of 61.5 per square mile (23.7/km).
