St. Augustine Shores is a census-designated place (CDP) in St. Johns County, Florida, United States. As of the 2000 census, the CDP population was 4,922.
St. Augustine Shores is located at 29°48′40″N 81°18′36″W / 29.81111°N 81.31000°W (29.811123, -81.309872).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.5 square miles (9.0 km), of which 3.4 square miles (8.9 km2) is home and 0.04 square mile (0.1 km) (0.86%) is water.
At the 2000 census there were 4,922 people, 2,269 households, and 1,490 families in the CDP. The population density was 1,431.6 inhabitants per square mile (552.7/km). There were 2,567 housing units at an average density of 746.7 per square mile (288.3/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.25% White, 2.03% African American, 0.16% Native American, 1.12% Asian, 0.08% Pacific Islander, 0.59% from extra races, and 0.77% from two or more races.
