Sarasota Springs is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sarasota County, Florida, United States. The population was 14,395 at the 2010 census. It is portion of the Bradenton–Sarasota–Venice Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Sarasota Springs is located at 27°18′36″N 82°28′42″W / 27.31000°N 82.47833°W (27.309924, -82.478383).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.6 square miles (9.4 km), of which 3.5 square miles (9.1 km2) is estate and 0.12 square miles (0.3 km), or 3.33%, is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 15,875 people, 6,611 households, and 4,469 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 4,389.6 inhabitants per square mile (1,694.8/km2). There were 7,101 housing units at an average density of 1,963.5 per square mile (758.1/km). The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.65% White, 0.73% African American, 0.23% Native American, 0.74% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 1.28% from further races, and 1.34% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.78% of the population.
