McNary (Western Apache: Chaabiitú) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Apache and Navajo counties in the U.S. state of Arizona, on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. The population was 528 at the 2010 census. It is a 30-minute determination from Show Low and a 10-minute dream from Pinetop-Lakeside.
McNary is located at 34°4′36″N 109°51′17″W / 34.07667°N 109.85472°W (34.076687, -109.854674).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.6 square miles (14.4 km), of which 5.5 square miles (14.2 km2) is house and 0.077 square miles (0.2 km), or 1.30%, is water.
At an height above sea level of 7,316 feet (2,230 m), it is the second highest community in Arizona after Alpine.
